Aidan Concept 2

So here's the next full body concept of Aidan. Still not sure if I've found the final design yet. We'll see how I feel about this one in a bit more time. A lot of the pink is gone now, it just didn't really feel like it fit anymore. He now has a forked tongue and more feline upper body shape with retractable claws. This, and the stripes, are because while talking to DancerWithADream I remember commenting that I get tired of people regarding me same way they would a caged tiger, and the idea really felt right, like something I should run with. I like Aidan too much to make a totally new character to be my fursona, but I couldn't ignore this tiger idea. I tried out a lot of different colors for the stripes, originally wanting them to be blue, pink, orange, or green, but none of the colors I tried worked, and I ended up just going with black. All I wear is black anyway, so it probably makes more sense that most of the colors on him are black too.  Once I'd added the stripes, his face looked really plain, so I gave him those blue marks under his eyes, but I'm not sure if I'll keep them.

Also considering making the pink that was in his hair be an optional thing, like sometimes he dyes it, sometimes not.

We'll see if anything else changes, I guess. For now, I'm happier with this design than the old one.
